Sussex Alerts - Sussex Police and Surrey Police Fraud Newsletter January 2024

Friday 19th January 2024

Each month we see many incidents of fraudsters targeting our residents in an attempt to defraud them.

We’re working hard to prevent this and support vulnerable victims of fraud or scams.

Please find the January 2024 edition of the Surrey and Sussex Police Fraud Newsletter attached; in this month’s edition, we focus on Virgin Media fraud, Braille scam books and social media/email account takeovers.

By following our tips and encouraging family, friends and colleagues to do so too, you can reduce the risk of becoming a victim.

Suspect you or someone you know has been victim to a scam?

Report it to Action Fraud or by calling 0300 123 2040.

However, where the victim is vulnerable or elderly, please call Sussex Police directly on 101 or visit our Operation Signature pages here.

If it's an emergency, always call 999.
